About Me
I’m Jensen, a dedicated communication professional with a passion for storytelling and a background in multimedia journalism. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Coastal Carolina University, where I specialized in Interactive Journalism. My experience spans various roles, from media and non-profit work to leadership positions, all of which have shaped my approach to crafting meaningful stories that resonate with audiences. I believe in the power of journalism to inform, inspire, and connect communities, and I strive to bring these elements to life in every project I undertake.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of roles that have allowed me to develop a diverse skill set. As a Media Intern at the Archipelagos Institute of Marine Conservation, I told stories of environmental impact, while my time as a Station Manager at WCCU Radio sharpened my leadership and communication skills. I’ve also served as Chapter President for Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity, where I led initiatives that blended community engagement with fundraising efforts. Each of these experiences has taught me the importance of adaptability, collaboration, and integrity in storytelling.
I’m passionate about using my skills to drive positive change, whether through reporting, non-profit work, or digital media. Having grown up in Greenville, I have a deep appreciation for this community and a commitment to shining a light on the stories that matter most. Whether it’s highlighting local heroes or addressing larger societal issues, my goal is to create work that not only informs but also inspires action. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me—I look forward to the opportunity to share my work and continue my journey as a storyteller.
